We Came A Long Way

We Came A Long Way From the first glance to only noticing you at this moment,  we came a long way; From keeping distance to ensuring that there is no distance,  we came a long way; From lowering your eyes on my sight till not seeing anyone except me,  you came a long way; From asking did you eat, to savouring ur taste buds with my cooking skill, I came a long way; From diplomatically trying to take sides and be politically correct,  to fiercely being protective of each other,  we came a long way; From slighting touching hands accidently to holding hands tightly,  we came a long way; From wishing to smooch till claiming each other’s lips possessively,  we came a long way; From desiring and wishing to stubbornly demanding,  you came a long way; From not being aware of your existence to miss you at the slightest instance,  I came a long away; From closing ourselves behind the garbs of traditions to fulfilling what the heart truly desires,...

#PowerOf23# Day 23 - 23 Things I learnt by writing @PowerOf23 Series

My contacts who are acquainted with me, know that I had always been a fiction writer, who periodically wrote only about fiction. Writing about emotions, love stories, relationships, imaginary things was natural to me without an additional effort. So when I decided to write the #PowerOf23# series, I was apprehensive as till this month I had never ventured writing on Non-Fictional content so far as I believed Non-Fiction Content to be topic of experts, eminent professionals in the field of psychology, human behaviour studies and/or professionals from Human Resource Background, in general who are excellent public speakers, blessed with the power of vocabulary, understanding, reasoning, creativity and positive thoughts. Thankfully, I expressed my anxiousness to my friend Suchitra Kamble and she advised me to focus on writing my experience, my thoughts, my feelings rather than focusing on world, focusing on the content or vocabulary and how it will be perceived by the world at large. Let’s continue with our @PowerOf23 Series wherein I am putting down few regrets which will haunt you in life and the best thing to do is act on it now. 1.Giving up on Love: It’s said True Love waits for ever. In real life, practicality takes over you and you move on. Yet, years down the line, you may realise that had you waited for the one you truly cared, life would have been different. The fear of rejection in addition makes one afraid to say “I love you.” Loving another person is a precious gift, even if love isn’t reciprocated, however not having courage to say it to the one at the right time can be the life greatest r...
