I Like You

She : Define by what you mean by “I Like You?” He   : Really ?  She   : Yes He     : Well, if you so insist .. I like you mentally cause you are very smart and intelligent; I like you psychologically cause you can sustain a good debate on a person's psyche; I like you physically cause you are attractive and sensual & you can't blame me to desire, fantasize and crave  you sexually; I like you intellectually cause you are a good professional and I do feel that you can be a good recourse; I like you as a close friend cause I think I can confide in you without you being judgemental about me; Emotionally is where I'm not sure - I mean I'm not attached to a lot of people emotionally and I tend to have and respect my space;  I do have a lot of close friends, but emotionally I am very cautious cause it tends to hurt eventually;  I do think we will connect and gel well on mental, intellectual, psychological, physical asp...

We Came A Long Way.

From the first glance to only noticing you at this moment,  We came a long way. From keeping distance to ensuring that there is no distance,  We came a long way. From lowering your eyes on my sight till not seeing anyone except me,  You came a long way. From asking did you eat, to savouring your taste buds with my cooking skills,  I came a long way. From diplomatically trying to take sides and be politically correct, to fiercely being protective of each other,  We came a long way. From slighting touching hands accidentally to holding hands tightly,  We came a long way. From wishing to smooch till claiming each other’s lips possessively,  We came a long way. From desiring and wishing to stubbornly demanding,  You came a long way. From not being aware of your existence to miss you at the slightest instance,  I came a long way. From closing ourselves behind the garbs of traditions to fulfilling what the heart truly desires,  ...

My Love

You make me happy, You make me sad, You make me think, You make me act, Whenever I see you, my heart skips a beat.  Your eyes speak those words,  Which your lips fail to speak.   Admist  all this turmoil within me, You look at me and smile, A smile that makes me melt yet whine.  A forlorn and a desperate plea my heart seeks then and there,  May you stay with me and the moment never end. My mind says I should be miles away;  Yet my feet fail to rise;   I wonder why my mind and feet are yet not in sync;  It dawns on me, slowly but surely then;  My heart left me, the moment you came. Office Desk

She sat at her office desk, the tepid tea cup in her hand and with a lot of heaviness in her heart. For the past 12 hours; for each waking moment, she had just thought of - What would be his reply to her question? Did  he thought of her? Did he care?  It had been almost two months since she last heard him. He had, not bothered to call her; not even on her birthday. While, she did not expect him to do so, especially after the last bitter argument over the phone, she hope, secretly hope that it would just be possible that he may, would want to call her. Just once. Just for old time sake. A hunch. A fervent hunch!  She looked at her phone screen. The screen lit up, on cue. Her heart jumped. But it wasn't him. It was only those numerous what's app messages; her so called friends updates.  She did not want to read her friend's status updates; about their life or their shopping expeditions.  It would, be about something which did not interest her, and definite...

His City

She arrived in his City, after a decade, The City where she had first met him. The City had lost its charm. She was cautious to avoid His City for business or for pleasure. The City held the beautiful and private moments of their life together. She passed by his office premises. He had risen up in corporate ladder. He was now “THE CEO”. She thought of visiting the office building with an intent to see him. She knew it was highly impossible that he would be at his workplace, now at this time of late night. Slowly, she got off her car, just to have a glimpse of him. The thought made her eyes shine and her lips smile. Practicality took its place. She knew it was futile. She decided otherwise and the chauffer proceeded towards her hotel. The light lit the office first floor. He walked towards the French window- For Air. For Smoke. To Breathe. She had been so close yet she choose to walk away. He let her go.  Persuasion was never his forte. The wind lingered wi...
